Bethesda SoftWorks is making a big announcement on Tuesday about its upcoming Skyrim game, but there’s a catch.
The studio is making the game in-house, without access to outside developers.
This isn’t surprising for a game like Skyrim, where the developer’s primary source of revenue is its own development work, according to Todd Howard, Bethesda’s head of worldwide publishing.
Howard says he’s been asked many times in the past to develop Skyrim by a company like Epic, but the company wouldn’t agree to work with him.
The reason Bethesda hasn’t released a new Skyrim game in five years is because it has a huge development team, and it’s not profitable.
The game was developed in a closed studio in Germany, where Howard was born.
When Bethesda SoftWares development team went independent in 2016, it didn’t have a studio, and Howard said he was the only person left on the team.
The company has been struggling to attract talent for the past few years, but it has been able to do so because it’s an industry leader and the studio has strong relationships with some of the biggest publishers.

But it will still have access to a developer with the skills and relationships to help bring the game to market.
Howard told Polygon the company plans to focus on the main story and multiplayer in the new Skyrim, but will also release new content for the game later on.
He said he’ll also work on more standalone content.
It’s also possible that a future version of the game might be a reboot of the old game, though it’s unknown if this will be a traditional PC or console game.
There are a lot of interesting things to do in Skyrim and you’re probably going to see a lot more of that in the future, Howard said.
Bethesda will also be releasing a standalone version of The Dark Brotherhood of Skyrim in 2018, and the game will have a story and a different gameplay style than the base game.
The new version of Skyrim is also coming with new multiplayer features that are unique to the new version, Howard says.
The main story is a new story, the new multiplayer is the main storyline and the new main story will have new features and new stuff.
The original game had a new gameplay style, new story lines, and new content, and now it’s coming back in a new format that’s different.
